Raising Global Citizens
Each year in my work with technology and social studies brings to light more and more examples of why we must raise our kids to be positive global citizens. While technology and civics can serve as uniting forces, we continue to see gaps in equity, a lack in culturally responsive classrooms, and find it more and more difficult to have crucial conversations around world events with our friends and family. My work in these "Raising Global Citizens" modules is meant to be a starting point for classroom teachers to embrace the five themes I've identified as important for our students for the future!
Each grade-banded* module is a collection of resources from trusted educational leaders in each area and serves as a sort of "base model" for starting age-appropriate classroom conversations around what it means to be a positive, productive citizen!
*K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12
